About Binga Baskets -Woven in Zimbabwe from wild grasses, these beautiful baskets are made by the Tonga people in the northern Zimbabwe region of Binga. Traditionally they are used to winnow grain, but they also look stunning as functional art. With their geometric designs, and warm, neutral colors - Binga baskets look beautiful in any home.
About Uganda Baskets - These baskets are hand woven by wrapping colorfully dyed palm raffia around a coil of banana leaf stalks. The large banana leaf stalks are pulled apart into long, thin strips, then dried, and finally bundled into coils and wrapped with the raffia.
These baskets are lightweight and perfect for hanging on your walls as art, used as functional baskets or displayed on a shelf.
Each basket is handmade, so slight variance in color + design will occur- that's part of the beauty!
