About Binga Baskets -Woven in Zimbabwe from wild grasses, these beautiful baskets are made by the Tonga people in the northern Zimbabwe region of Binga. Traditionally they are used to winnow grain, but they also look stunning as functional art. With their geometric designs, and warm, neutral colors - Binga baskets look beautiful in any home.
About Zambia Baskets -In the Pemba and Monze districts of Zambia's Southern Plateau, skilled Batonga women craft iconic baskets from locally harvested palm leaves and wild twigs. Each basket takes days to make and uses palm leaves carefully boiled in natural dye and dried in the sun. These are traditionally used as fruit baskets but also look great in our favorite wall basket displays.
These baskets are lightweight and perfect for hanging on your walls as art, used as functional baskets or displayed on a shelf.
Each basket is handmade, so slight variance in color + design will occur- that's part of the beauty!
