What is Fair Trade and why is it important?
Life Inspirit is a business based on the idea that the goods you buy should be created and purchased with intention.
Fair Trade defined by Fair Trade Federation " is an approach to business and to development based on dialogue, transparency, and respect that seeks to create greater equity in the international trading system.
Fair trade supports farmers and craftspeople in developing countries who are socially and economically marginalized. These producers often face steep hurdles in finding markets and customers for their goods."
Why is this important? Instead of purchasing items at big box stores, which are mass produced by workers whom are paid typically very little, in non ideal work environments; YOU can make the CHOICE to support ethical business practice, support small businesses, and in exchange purchase goods that are made with LOVE, CARE, and ATTENTION!
Carrying a collection of products at Life Inspirit, which are ethical, beautiful, affordable, and unique is something I truly am honored to do. Everyday we as consumers make choices, we each have the power to make a difference, even if it be a small difference, in the lives of others.
